Black Angus Steakhouse

First timers the wait was minimal we were seated pretty much immediately great view of the tv monitors to watch the sports. Oh and we had a server name Noel he was on his A-game and the food was very delicious must try the appetizers even the desert was awesome. well done guys I will definitely be returning to enjoy another evening what you all.

This place cooks juicy and flavorful fish. Surprises me for a steakhouse steaks are fantastic not five stars because the kids steak is subpar. My kids steak was gray in color and tasted almost rotten. But everything for grownups is unbelievably good. Just couldn't believe how bad the kids steak was.

The server wad great although management was not very accommodating making adjustments to the menu which would have, in the long run, saved them money. But hey to each their own.The food was not as good as I remember when I went there a few years ago. The prime rib that I ordered rare was actually better the next day when I had it for breakfast with some eggs.The cowboy cookie that I ordered for dessert showed up on an aluminum pie tin rather than the iron skillet that it was shown on in the picture in the menu. I will say the vanilla ice cream was quite good though.

We have eaten here almost weekly for several months. Last night the hostess seated us at a dirty booth. When we pointed out that the seat was dirty she turned and walked away. "Take it or leave it" brand of customer service. Did not get sweetener for tea, nor place settings. Have gotten very poor service on at least two occasions lately, from Noah, (maybe Noel) in the bar and last night from Kennedy in the main dining area. The food is good, service is BUNK.

Awesome dinner, great service! It was our 27th wedding anniversary. We have been going there every year since our 1st anniversary! Will go back again next year!!!

The wagon wheel is a great appetizer. The steaks are usually cooked as requested and taste good. We usually sit in the bar because there is less wait and the service is quick and fine. The bread is yummy too but sometimes it is not very soft. This is a good place to try.

Medium well done garlic and herbs ribeye steak was delicious especially with fully loaded baked potato on the side!

OMG... Was so good and could not eat all..... Had the prawns and sirloin, with an gratin potatoes, wild rice and Brussels sprouts. And hubby enjoyed his steak and prawn with mashed potatoes and broccoli. One of my favorite spots... We eat at different places eat months. Was worth the money for splurge.

Fast and friendly service. Even it was completely full of people there was low noise. The steaks we had were 100% how we ordered them. Super delicious with a fair price. Would give 6 stars when possible :D

Nice atmosphere, waitress was on top of it. Prices seemed high for what you get. Steak was good, but I've had better quality steaks. Over all it was good, over priced, but if your looking for a change and don't mind spending a little extra to get it, I'd recommend it. It's not a perfect 10 but I'd give it a 7. Remember this is just my personal opinion you may love it, so don't let this review stop you from trying it.

We went to the Black Angus in Bakersfield last night for a friend's birthday. It was the first time for both my wife and I. We used the coupon for 2 that is out there and we weren't disappointed. The food was great, filling, and more than we could eat. Between the two of us we had the wagon wheel sampler, potato soup, Mac and Cheese, grilled asparagus, top sirloin steak, rack of ribs, and grilled brussel sprouts. Our dinner for two included a dessert and we opted for the spiced carrot cake. The drinks were cold, service fantastic. This is definitely a place to stop and enjoy a great meal. Show up hungry.

The meal was delish however I think a bit over priced.

My prime rib was way over cooked. I ordered medium well and it was well done. They barely gave me any broccoli and it was not as good as it usually is. I think they forgot to add the garlic butter. The best tasting food today was the strawberry mango cobbler. But they didn't put enough topping on it because that's what really makes the dessert taste so good. I will be back at some point but I don't know when. Black Angus used be my favorite place but it seems like the quality of the food is going down.😣

Great service! Loved the wedge! Nice cold and crisp! The shrimp and potatoes au gratin were so yummy!

Not as good as it used to be. Soup was luke warm. They brought us another one and it was the same. No one came around to ask us if we wanted more water or tea. The service was poor and the food was so so. I expected better service for the price.

I've never been a big fan of these type of steak restaurants. Yet Black Angus might have just changed my perspective on them. The atmosphere was legit, food was superb and when we did have an issue - mom prefers her steak well done, but received medium rare (which is a good thing, but that's just my opinion). The staff made it right without a hint of negativity. Overall our experience at Black Angus will have us coming back...just not right away. I'm on a budget...lol

The food was good. We are at the bar and the bartenders were not set up for success. Poor service but not for lack of trying. The two were truly slammed beyond belief. Management really hurt the bar this night.

I had the steak with whole grain rice [ comes with one side] from the kids menu. $9.50. It was cooked perfectly rare, which most places aren't able/don't to do. It was soo good !! Plenty of meat for a kids meal. I also had the lemon poppy seed cake. $7.50. It was good but I wish it was a little more lemony. I'm glad I called ahead for my to go order as it was busy. I would order it again. No senior discount.

Pretty good. All was good except the fried shrimp could use improving. The courtesy bread and butter was good. The salad as a side was very good and substantial and the loaded baked potato was great. The cheese cake was also good NY style heavy and thick like it should be. I would go back but not for the shrimp.

Was our first time dinning at Black Angus in Bakersfield. Food was excellent... Service was a 10 "Jasmine" gave us awesome service... Defiantly will be back...

Service was really good and usually the food is as well. I ordered my usual cowboy cut of prime rib and it was at least 50% fat. The flavor was good but I found myself looking for something else to eat because I was still hungry. Everything else was good especially the service but I came for steak, not a plate full of fat..

1 1/2hour dinner. Ordered the dinner for 2. We had shared shrimp cocktail and it was good. 2 salads- I had Caesar salad and husband had dinner salad- mine was twice the size of his. Both ordered 12 oz rib eye steaks and loaded baked potatoes. If you have seen the pictures mine was thick steak and cooked rare as ordered. Husband's was thin in thickness and had excessive gristle and fat and was suppose to be medium rare but was over cooked. Manager offered another steak or take his off the bill since it had been so long( hour). Had the mascarpone Carmel cheesecake for dessert and it was the best part. Manager took husband's steak off the bill.2nd trip here-seated at 6:45. Food at 8:00. Rib eye steak had lots of fat and wasn't very tender. Went here due to having coupon. Will probably pass up even with another coupon.

Black Angus is the best steak house in Bakersfield. They have a special for $19.99 that includes a steak, a lobster and shrimp. You need a coupon for this special. You can find coupons online and I think they mail coupons to your home. Take a break from cooking and try a high end steak at a decent price from the Black Angus Steakhouse.

This was the best meal I have eaten in a very long time. Fantastic service. Sleek design . Best lobster and filet , I have eaten in years. 10/10I also uploaded over 60 photos to go with this review. Including menus.

Decent food and helpful service. Unfortunately you always have to fight with the a1 steak sauce with them pushing their house brand.

A great home town steak house. Been around for years, so that should tell you something. Food was not as good as it was before. Steaks have declined in worth verses price. Service is good and staff great.

As evident by the name they have really good steak and other good appetizers like smoked artichoke

I went with a very large party and the service was still amazing. The staff was able to keep drinks filled the whole time and were quite friendly. I got the chicken bacon avocado sandwhich and it was super good

Large portions. Flavorful food. A bit pricy, but worth it! Waiter was attentive, not clingy. Iced tea was so good I drank three glasses! I'm writing this from the restroom🤓

B/A menu is virtually identical from year to year. The food is commonly good. Service is above average.

The food was very good, beans a little old an tough but taste. The server was very attentive n personable. The seating was a problem. The facility was less than half full yet the attendant sat us at a table that was so close to a full table that the waitress couldn't walk between them. I helped the waitress separate the tables as there was some room behind us. What troubles me is when there is plenty of seatings to choose from they will crowd you up against another group. No thought of privacy, it bugs me. Hadn't eaten in a Black Angus in years, was a good stop of the freeway. Thanks

Spent an hour and 15 minutes here. We had reservations so no wait for our table. They were extremely busy. After being sat for an hour and a quarter my food finally came out, but not my son's. My ribs were the consistency of shoe leather, and I was informed the kitchen had burnt my son's cheeseburger sliders. Our waitress was hustling and this wasnt her fault. She was very apologetic and canceled our ticket without grief. Very disappointed with Blank Angus' kitchen tonight.

I always get their BBQ Chopped Salad with Tri-Tip because it tastes amazing, I highly recommend it! 👍 The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is their service was abysmal last time I went there. Super slow, and it felt like they kept forgetting we were there. Every time my drink needed refilling, I'd have to wait 10-20 min for them to even check on us. It really ruined what should have been a great experience.

Very busy place but the hosts/hostess and waitresses/waiters do a great job of making you feel comfortable while providing extrodonary customer service. I can't remember the name of the girl that served us the night we went but she was so friendly. I would absolutely recommend this spot to all of my friends.

Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. There was fast, efficient, and courteous service. It has a cool interior.

I have been coming here for years and Just now decided to give a review. The food has always been consistently great and the service is wonderful. Tonight I had the prime rib dinner and it was outstanding. I ate at the bar and Nicky was my waitress. When the meal came they realized there was an error and she immediately rectified the situation, great job.

This was a perfect place to eat. Staff was very nice. The food was served very fast and tasted excellent!👍

Super place to have dinner in. Fillet mignon and chicken breast were very delicious. Our waiter was very pleasant and professional. Atmosphere inside is also great. Parking is available.

My steak was overcooked to well after ordering it medium-rare. The waitress was all southern and sweet but I had to ask 3 times for other employees to go find here. Then when the bill came she overcharged us $15.00 and when we had to ask another employee to find her to fix our bill she finally came to the table and then didn't return with a corrected bill for 20 minutes. Black Angus, you have lost another customer to Hungry Hunters. I won't be back!!!!

Good was great. I was a little surprised my the portion size of some of the sides. A little small. But food overall was really good.

I love coming to this place! The atmosphere is always pleasant but of course I don't go when it's very crowded. Everyone is always nice and friendly and they are always willing to answer any questions you have from any dish or drink.
